These courses start and finish the festival, giving participants the opportunity to study more intensively with selected international teachers.
Level: We recommend that you check with a senior NZ teacher if you are unsure which level is right for you. References may be needed for the Advanced Immersion. Check here for a level description.
Capacity: The immersions have a 16-17 couple maximum.
Registration: Register online in the ticketing section (registration opening early December). If registering with a partner, please include their name and email address where indicated on the 'choose extras' page, and ensure they register at the same time, so space is confirmed for you both.
We take no responsibility for the level of partners on the course. Many couples do not rotate on these courses, so we strongly recommend that you find a dance partner to do the course with. It will be suggested that singles on the course rotate regularly. We will endeavour to ensure that there are even numbers of leads and follows in the class, but cannot ensure that they all be present each day.
Multiple Immersions: If you wish to book for more than one course (one before and one after the festival), you can book your second course at a discounted rate, see the registration page for details.
Information: More information about the immersion courses, including the daily schedule, will be emailed out to registered immersion participants 2-3 weeks before the festival commences.
9:20 am Registration and Welcome (first day of course only). Dance studios will remain open for practica afterwards but will be vacated promptly at 4pm for other users of the space. Teaching starts promptly at 9:30am.
